What is Silver Lining Therapy all about?
“Provide support, Have the passion, and Deliver service and encourage growth.”
Every counseling experience here is customized to meet the unique needs of each client. Support- signifies our dedication to stand alongside individuals. Passion- reflects our commitment to infuse each session with compassionate and fulfilling energy. Service/Growth- emphasizes our responsibility to offer valuable services to the community through our therapeutic practices.
Silver Lining Therapy encompasses several key components. First, we have a dedicated section for athletes that focuses on equipping them with the necessary tools to achieve peak performance while also addressing and reducing the stigma associated with seeking assistance for mental health issues. From individual sessions to developing athlete mental health programs, Silver Lining Therapy is proactive in bridging the mental health gap for athletes.
Athletes are not the only community Silver Lining Therapy serves. Individual sessions for community members are available as well as group sessions rooted in psychoeducation and tool building when it comes to working through anxiety, depression and life adjustments.
Founder Samantha Silver (Sam) specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Health (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused (SFT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches.
At Silver Lining Therapy we provide support to individuals aged 15 to 70 who primarily are struggling with Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem and Adjustment Disorders.
Sam believes that all people have a purpose — a unique source of meaning that gives their lives direction. My role as a counselor is not to assign or define a client’s purpose, but to help them uncover, clarify, and move toward it. She does this by creating a relational environment where clients feel safe, respected, and supported, while also being gently challenged to grow. Change happens when people are deeply understood, gain new insight into their patterns, and take empowered steps aligned with their values.
Because no one’s purpose exists in isolation, Sam also attends to the broader cultural and systemic contexts that shape clients’ lives. A person-centered, anti-oppressive perspective helps her recognize the impact of power, privilege, and stigma on well-being. In this way, counseling becomes not only about addressing immediate concerns, but also about helping people reclaim their agency, dignity, and connection to their deepest calling.
